Synopsis | Maria Lujan, a decadent coupletist, remembers his intense life while speaking with Juan Contreras, old admirer and first businessman who believed in her: her beginnings as a chorus girl, his triumph in Spain, Paris and Latin America in the years 20, the different men in her life, his dalliances through the French gambling halls and, finally, his return to Spain, already sick, after World War II (1939-1945) to work at El Molino, a cabaret in Barcelona. |
